Inkpen Crocus Field
At the beginning of March, I headed to Inkpen in West Berkshire to visit Inkpen Crocus Field, a wildlife reserve managed by BBOWT (Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust). From there it was over the downs and back down to Inkpen for very welcome tea and cake. Seeing that the Guardian’s Readers’ travel tips competition for the moment was ‘Favourite spring walks’, I just had to put together 100 words to celebrate a very good afternoon out. Mine was the winning tip, shown in the link at the bottom of the list. I’d like to do all of the walks… To see the crocuses of Inkpen, you’ll now need to wait until mid-February 2024.
